Arc’teryx Cerium LT

We are very excited this season to introduce a new Down Collection, extending the range of our insulation options. We had set out on an extensive research process to push the limits of this classic insulation technique, and design the best down jackets possible. The result is a new collection of innovative technologies, premium materials, and weight-saving construction.
For backcountry and alpine use, the lightest and warmest piece is the Cerium LT Jacket and Hoody, excellent as a very warm midlayer or standalone piece. The key to the Cerium’s weightless, agile freedom is a variety of features, including underarm gussets for better mobility, a three-part sleeve construction for better elbow and arm articulation, and a very lightweight yet durable face fabric.
The key innovation, though, is the Arc’teryx-developed Down Composite Mapping. Down has a tendency to lose its loft and warmth when it becomes wet. As a solution to this challenge, we created a construction method that strategically places 80g Coreloft synthetic insulation in areas where moisture may accumulate, and 850 fill European Goose down in the core to provide maximum warmth.
Finally, we wanted to ensure that we made these new pieces as light as possible. This included a simplified jacket construction, reduced volume in the sleeves, and very careful finishing. Savings gained through these processes allowed for the selection of stronger materials, resulting in jackets that are more durable, and almost 10% lighter than any others.
